Who is in the cast of Sing 2?

Who is in the cast of Sing 2?

Introduction

The cast of Sing 2 is returning to the big screen with some new faces. In addition to Reese Witherspoon, who voiced Ash in the first film, Scarlett Johansson will be back as a punk rock porcupine named Daisy. Matthew McConaughey will return as Buster Moon, a koala who owns a theatre and puts on karaoke competitions to save it. Seth MacFarlane is back as Mike, an aspiring mouse crooner who wants stardom. Taron Egerton returns as Johnny, an `Eddie the Eagle`-type koala from backwoods Australia who wants to make something of himself. Tori Kelly returns as Meena, an elephant with a huge voice when she’s not scared about performing onstage. Finally, Jennifer Hudson returns as Nana Noodleman (aka Mrs.), Meena’s guardian/mentor/best friend who dreams of being an entertainer herself but isn’t sure how she can do so because she’s too old for pop music or Broadway shows (she’s in her 60s).

The cast of Sing 2 is set to return with some new faces.

  • The cast of Sing 2 is set to return with some new faces.
  • You may have seen Ariana Grande and John Legend in the first film, but they won’t be back for the sequel. Instead, we’re getting a new cast of characters to join the returning winners from the last movie and compete for that $100 million prize.
  • The new characters include:
  • Billy Bragg (Alfie Allen) is an aspiring musician who writes songs about his life as he travels around town on his bike.
  • The band “5 Seconds of Summer” stars as themselves in this movie—which makes sense since they’ve already performed at award shows like the Grammys & Oscars!
  • Who else? Well, there’s only one other character confirmed so far…but we think you’ll be happy with this one!

Scarlett Johansson is back as Ash, a punk rock porcupine voiced by Reese Witherspoon in the first film.

In the first film, Reese Witherspoon voiced Ash. The main character is a porcupine, a punk rocker, so it makes sense that another animal with a similar personality would voice her. In Sing 2, Scarlett Johansson will voice Ash instead of Reese Witherspoon.

Matthew McConaughey is back as Buster Moon, a koala who has no shame and puts on a singing competition in the first movie.

Buster Moon owns the theatre where the singing competition takes place. He’s a koala with a love of singing who will do almost anything for his friends. As you can imagine, that includes organising a singing contest and inviting every animal in town to participate. Buster also has no shame, making him an even more entertaining character.

Buster is played by Matthew McConaughey, who won several awards during his career before Sing 2 (including an Academy Award). In this movie, he plays Ash’s sidekick and best friend—and he does it well! You’ll see why when you watch this sequel!

Seth MacFarlane is back as Mike, a mouse who is a crooner with aspirations for stardom.

If you’re unfamiliar with Seth MacFarlane, he’s the creator of Family Guy and American Dad! He also voices a lot of characters on those shows. In addition to being one hell of a voice actor, he’s also a comedian, actor and singer. I mean… look at that face! It can’t be denied that Seth has got a talent for all three categories.

In Sing 2, he plays Mike: an ambitious mouse who wants to be a crooner but doesn’t have much luck until Buster Moon steps in to help him.

Taron Egerton returns as Johnny, an `Eddie the Eagle`-type koala from backwoods Australia who wants to make something of himself.

Johnny is the main character we meet as a koala from backwoods Australia. He wants to make something of himself, so he heads to Hollywood to become a singer. Johnny is a bit of a loser and quite kind at heart, which means that he’s generally happy but can also give you an ego boost if you need one.

Johnny is voiced by Taron Egerton (you might remember him from last year’s “Eddie the Eagle”).

Jennifer Hudson returns as Nana Noodleman.

In a move that will surely delight fans of the first film, Jennifer Hudson returns as Nana Noodleman, the guardian of Meena and dreams of being an entertainer herself. Like many celebrities in the real world, she’s had to overcome self-esteem issues to achieve her dream—in this case, a porky physique. But despite her looks, she still sings with heart and soul and wants to make it big in music.

Nick Kroll voices Gunter, a pig with self-esteem issues who wants to make it big in music.

  • Nick Kroll is a comedian, actor and voice-over artist.
  • He has appeared in many films, TV shows and commercials.
  • He has also played numerous roles on stage, including one of the leads in “The Big Sick.”

Barbara Streisand voices the grandmother of Buster Moon.

Barbara Streisand is an American singer-songwriter, actress, film producer and director. She has won two Academy Awards and eight Grammy Awards and is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time. In 2018 she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” in the motion picture Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.

Kelly Clarkson returns as Big Mama, Pearl’s mother who runs the laundromat in town.

Kelly Clarkson is a singer, songwriter and actress born in Texas. She has won two Grammy Awards and released six albums. Additionally, she has been nominated for more than 20 other awards, including Teen Choice, American Music Award and People’s Choice Award.

In the first film, she played Rosita – a chicken with a big voice and an even bigger heart (she was also one of Pearl’s best friends). Now in Sing 2, she returns as Big Mama, Pearl’s mother who runs the laundromat in town.

We will see some new characters, such as Rosita’s sister and Buster Moon’s grandma, come into play!

We are super excited to see some new characters, such as Rosita’s sister and Buster Moon’s grandma, come into play! Scarlett Johansson is back as Ash, a punk rock porcupine voiced by Reese Witherspoon in the first film. Nick Jonas will be voicing his character this time around!

Conclusion

We’re excited to see what Sing 2 has in store for us, but one thing is for sure: it will be an amazing cast of characters!
